Remove the roses from their vase. Recut the stems and submerge the whole rose – stem, leaves, flowers and all – in a sink or tub of warm water. Leave the roses submerged for 30 minutes. Use that time to clean and refill the vase with fresh water and a bit of floral preservative.

Why is my rose wilting?

Not enough water. Rose bushes need at least an inch (2.5 cm) of water each week and even more during very hot weather. Once roses are established they only need to be watered once or twice a week. Roses have deep roots so give them a thorough watering so the water can reach deep into the soil.
